The free WP PowerSuite plugin does not need a license. A license is for WP PowerSuite Pro — the separate add-on that ships premium modules.
Before you activate:
- Keep the free WP PowerSuite plugin installed and active.
- Install and activate WP PowerSuite Pro beside it (see Installation).
Activate a license
Section titled “Activate a license”- Go to WP PowerSuite → License.
- Paste the license key (and purchase email if asked) from your purchase email / account.
- Click Activate.
- Confirm the status shows as active for this site URL.
After activation
Section titled “After activation”- Premium modules become available under WP PowerSuite → Modules.
- Freemium modules unlock their Pro-tier options.
- Pro updates come from wppowersuite.com; the free plugin keeps updating from wordpress.org.
- Keep the key private — treat it like a password.
Common issues
Section titled “Common issues”- Wrong site URL. Licenses are usually bound to a domain. Activate on the live URL you intend to use (staging may need a separate seat depending on your plan).
- Key already used elsewhere. Deactivate on the old site first, or manage seats from your account portal.
- Pro modules still locked. Confirm both plugins are active, the license screen shows active, then hard-refresh and re-open Modules.
- Deleted the free plugin. Reinstall WP PowerSuite from wordpress.org — Pro is an add-on and will not work alone.
