Updating

WP PowerSuite updates as two plugins when Pro is installed:

Plugin	Updates from
WP PowerSuite (free)	wordpress.org (Plugins screen / automatic updates)
WP PowerSuite Pro	wppowersuite.com (requires WP PowerSuite Pro for downloadable updates)

wordpress.org updates never overwrite Pro. Keep both plugins installed.

Before you update

1. Take a backup (files + database), or use your host’s snapshot.
2. Prefer updating on staging first for production sites with many modules enabled.
3. Note any custom login URL, maintenance mode, or SMTP settings so you can re-test them.

After you update

• Confirm both plugin versions under Plugins (free and Pro, if installed).
• Spot-check critical modules you rely on (login URL, SMTP, security headers, forms).
• Clear any full-page cache if the front end looks stale.

If an update misbehaves

1. Roll back the plugin that caused the issue (free or Pro) if needed.
2. Disable the last module you changed.
