Add a Simple Deterrent to Context-Menu Copying

• The browser's context menu is a familiar entry point for interacting with page content. On a site that discourages casual copying or saving through that menu, Disable Right Click offers a straightforward way to apply the preference without adding a custom JavaScript snippet to the theme. The behavior is handled through the same WP PowerSuite frontend system used by the other content-interaction modules.
• The useful outcome is a deliberate interaction rule, not a claim that a public asset has become inaccessible. A visitor still receives the content needed to display the page, and another route may be used to retrieve it. The module fits projects that want a small barrier and a clear reminder about reuse, while accepting that a determined person can bypass a browser-side restriction. It is not a substitute for keeping confidential content out of public page responses.

Decide Who Should Receive the Restriction

• An agency may want the public-facing site to discourage right-click copying while allowing its own editors to inspect the frontend normally. The audience controls support that distinction. Apply to Visitors is enabled by default, while a logged-in user is affected only when one of their roles has been selected. You can therefore keep the restriction public-only or extend it to particular account groups according to the site's requirements.
• There is no need to impose the same policy on every authenticated user simply because the module is active. Staff roles can remain unselected when their work depends on ordinary frontend interactions. Conversely, an administrator viewing the public site can be affected if that role is included. With visitors disabled and no roles selected, there is no audience to restrict and the module's hooks remain inactive.

Use a Notice That Explains the Site's Policy

• Blocking an interaction without feedback can feel like a broken page. Disable Right Click supports a custom message so the visitor receives a brief explanation rather than having to guess why the context menu did not behave as expected. The default message is “This function is disabled,” and the wording can be changed to better reflect the site's tone or content-use policy.
• The notice uses the shared positioning and timing controls: top-right placement and a three-second display are the defaults, with top or bottom positions and left, center, or right alignment available. Choose a message that explains the limited restriction without making claims about complete protection. A short, proportionate notice can communicate the intended behavior more effectively than a long warning that interrupts the reading experience.

Keep Administrative Editing Separate

• The module applies to browsable frontend HTML, not the WordPress dashboard. That keeps administrative right-click interactions outside the restriction while allowing a site owner to make a different choice for public pages. REST responses, feeds, and cron requests are not protected by this frontend script, so enabling the module does not change all the ways content can be obtained from WordPress.
• Logged-in staff viewing the frontend still follow the configured role policy. This is worth checking during a client handover: an editor may expect unrestricted page inspection even though they are no longer inside wp-admin. Also ensure the caching setup does not serve another audience's rendered HTML in place of the current visitor's page. The module does not turn a shared page cache into a role-aware security system.
