Review the Image and Title Together

• A publishing checklist often includes both the written title and the image that represents the item. Featured Image Column brings those checks into the same list, so an editor can scan several entries and notice where the assigned image needs attention. It is a focused change to the content-management screen, not an image-generation tool or a replacement for the Media Library. The column appears only on selected public post types with thumbnail support.
• Clicking the image control opens the media modal for that item. The resulting assignment is saved with an edit-permission check, allowing the list to act as a practical editing surface rather than merely a gallery of previews. A user who cannot edit the post does not gain permission to change its featured image just because the column is visible.

Fit the Column to the Content Types You Manage

• Posts and Pages are the starting selection, but the useful scope depends on which types on your site support featured images. An eligible custom post type can use the same list workflow. An empty or invalid saved list falls back to Posts and Pages where supported, so saving no valid entries should not be treated as a way to disable the feature everywhere; switch the module off instead.
• The implementation avoids adding another column when recognized featured-image columns already exist. For WooCommerce, it replaces the standard thumb column rather than adding an unrelated second image column. This product-specific handling does not turn the module into a product gallery manager: its job is still the featured-image assignment shown in the list.
