Hide Update Notifications
Overview
Hide Update Notifications removes update-related notices and badges from the admin. Choose which to hide: plugin updates, theme updates, WordPress core updates, or the PHP update required notice. Hiding updates does not prevent updates from running—it only hides the notifications and badges. Useful for client sites where you manage updates yourself, or for staging environments where you don’t want users seeing update prompts. Each type can be toggled independently.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this prevent updates from running?
No. It only hides the notifications. Automatic updates still run if enabled. You can still update manually via WP CLI or by temporarily disabling the module.
Should I hide the PHP update notice?
Only if you’re aware of the risks and can’t upgrade PHP soon. Outdated PHP can be a security risk. Use this mainly for temporary situations.
Troubleshooting
- Notification still appearsEnsure the module is enabled and you saved the settings. Refresh the admin page. Check that you selected the correct notification type (plugin, theme, core, or PHP).
