Give Members a Frontend View Without the Toolbar
Understand the Visibility Rule for Everyone Else
With a non-empty hide list, this module does more than hide the selected roles: it returns a visible-toolbar state for logged-in users who are not in the list. Their frontend bar is therefore forced on rather than simply inheriting every existing profile preference. This is important on sites where users already chose to hide their own toolbar. An empty role list is different; it leaves existing behavior unchanged instead of applying either side of the role policy.
The module is not an editor for individual toolbar shortcuts. To retain the bar but remove selected entries, use Remove Admin Bar Items. Also distinguish this setting from Clean User Profile Screen: hiding the toolbar preference row on a profile screen does not itself enforce the frontend toolbar policy. Choose the tool according to whether you want to hide the whole bar, selected items, or only the preference control.
